The 8-point checklist
- Local payments. Does it support PayNow QR and GIRO natively, or only international cards?
- Automatic reconciliation. Are payments matched to members without manual work?
- PDPA features. Consent capture, access requests, retention controls.
- Total cost in SGD. Include payment fees, SMS credits and onboarding.
- Import and export. You must be able to bring data in from Excel and take it all out again.
- Committee roles. Separate permissions for treasurer, secretary and membership officer.
- GST support. If your organisation is GST-registered.
- Support in your time zone. A local team who understand Singapore organisations.
Red flags
- Pricing only in USD with currency conversion fees
- No GIRO or PayNow, forcing manual bank reconciliation
- No way to export all member data
- Long lock-in contracts for small organisations
